Les and I started dating in 2003, when I was a senior in high school and he just a wee sophomore. Four years later, we got engaged after a lot of praying and searching God's heart. Finally, two years after that, we were married on May 29, 2009. Took us long enough, right?
I graduated from East Tennessee State University in 2009 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Les will graduate in May 2010 from Clear Creek Baptist Bible College with a Bachelor's Degree in Missions and Evangelism. These degrees are big deals for both of us, as we are first generation college graduates in both families.
We both feel called into church planting, first century church-style. We are planning on Les getting his Master's Degree then moving to a Jesus-poor/real-church-poor area and starting a church plant. Right now, we are serving at New Heights Church in Pineville, KY. Les is the worship leader, we both work with the youth, and I rotate teaching children on Sundays and Wednesdays.
